All in all this was a dream holiday and not just because it was in Cornwall but because the campsite owners and their management staff really went out of their way to make our stay a memorable one. This was our very first experinece of camping and we came away feeling that we could not have chosen a better site than Dolbeare. We didn't have a clue how to put a tent together but that wasn't a problem, Nigel put it up for us. Ian and his lovely wife and Nigel and his very caring wife all made the whole environment very friendly and welcoming. All facilities are first class and it is an ideal site for all age groups. Dolbeare is very conveniently located for visiting places around Saltash such as Mevagissey, a beach we highly recommend, eden project at St Austell and Polpero. Looe is a short distance away from Dolbeare and you can have a great time mackerel fishing in the English channel (if you like that sort of thing i.e.)We didn't have a clue how to gut a fish but that wasn't a problem Nigel did it for us when we got back!

Had a great time on this excellent site. The park was a big hit with our 6 year old son(safe to play) and the evergreen was a den for the kids. The showers and toilets were always clean with a never ending supply of hot water. The site is an excellent base to explore the southwest.Chris and Ian are very helpful even to recommending a visit to the Notter bridge inn for an excellent meal( 1 mile down the main road). If you are looking for a very good site around plymouth look no further. We will definately be back next year.

A fantastic site which we would definately stay on again and have already recommended to our friends. The kids loved the play area and the Nature Trail was also a big hit. The pitches are spacious and the shower / toilet facilities were always clean. The location of the site is a really good base which allows you to easily visit other places if you wanted too. If we make it down to Cornwall again, this will definately be the site we will choose to stay on. Thanks again for a fantastic holiday.

We stayed two nights after only booking for one, I wished the site we had been on for the previous week had been as clean, the owners from the other site should come and look how Chris and Ian run a business ; Thank you it was great: it made the bad weather seem insignificant!

Great site, good location for exploring the area - only planning to stay for 2 nights and ended up staying for 4! Site and shower block really clean. Despite the rain in the previous week there was no problem with the field being muddy. Chris and Ian seem to have thought of all the finishing touches which made our stay really enjoyable. Will definately be back next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at what is one of the best sites we have visited. Beautifully laid out site with generous pitches and very clean facilities. The tone of a site is generally set by the staff and there is definately a friendly and relaxed air about the place.
We'll be back.

Good clean site. Children loved the climbing frames and the big evergreen which was favored by all as a den/hideaway! Loved the radio station in the toilet block, made washing up the dishes more bearable! Archery session was excellent. My 3 year old was very impressed by the "office", your log cabin with all the local info and nature posters. Continue with the good work and hope to be back soon.

A fantastic site, we have just got back from 8 days there, will definately be returning.
The site is well run, very clean, I couldn't fault it.
We have been camping for about 8 years now and this has to be the best private site we have been to. Also the bacon rolls for breakfast are to die for :-)

A friendly, quiet and pleasant campsite. Great service and facilities - even the temporary showers were nice. Pitches are a generous size, the information room is a great idea. A shame about the rain, but can't blame you for that! Will be recommending the site to friends and hope to stay again next year.

Very nice camping. Good and clean facilities.
the shop contains everything you could need while camping. I particularly liked the evenings take aways, the fresh breakfast breads and rolls, and the fridge accessible to everyone.

Lovely site with very spacious pitches. Excellent information room and free use of fridge/freezer, showers and hairdryer. A new shower/toilet block sited in the tent field would be luxury, but current facilities are spotlessly clean. It would be nice for an area to be set aside for the children to use their bikes maybe the centre of the field or part of the ball games field.

Many thanks for a great stay. We were impressed right from finding the website which proved to be the same in reality, pitches good size and very good inspite of the weather. The fridge freezer in the shed was great help and everything was well maintained and jobs attended to promptly. The only comment we would make is to site the proposed new toilet and shower block in the rally field. We will be back and recommend it to friends. Thanks

A very well laid out campsite which obviously receives a lot of attention all year round. The camping pitches are a good size and are clearly defined. The site is nice & quiet and we would certainly recommend it.

This site will be even better once the additional amenity block is built.

We really enjoyed our stay on your park, it was very peaceful and quiet. The pitch was spacious, even had some branches cut from a tree on our arrival. We would especially like to say a big 'thank you' to the owners for recommending a mobile caravan repair man and the carpet cleaning man who helped us out when our caravan roof leaked after so much heavy rain.
The toilet block was very clean and I hope you'll have extra showers added when the new block is built. I only had to wait for a couple of minutes once in 13 days but we were there out of the peak season. Will definitely recommend your park to our friends and we will be back.

We had a wonderful week's break at Dolbeare, the site is in a quiet open location, well laid out and very clean. The pitches are a good size and plenty of space between them.

There is plenty to do on this border of Cornwall and Devon and plenty of information was made available either in the info. Centre or from the friendly owners Christine and Ian.

We would recommend a stay at Dolbeare.

Had a lovely few days on this quiet, spotlessly clean and friendly camp-site. The facilties were great for the children who made friends and played football, on the adventure playground and even a spot of giant chess. The local pub offered excellent value food with good deals on children's meals. Definitely recommend this site.

Made very welcome on arrival and shown to our pitch, dont get that very often! Clean and tidy site, nice and quiet, just the place for a peaceful getaway. We took the kids with us, they loved the play area. We stayed over easter and took part in the easter egg hunt, we got very wet but the kids loved it! The Ploughboy pub excellent for meals about 10min drive but you do need to book, kids meals £3 for meal and icecream, adult meals from £5. 2nd time to visit this site and we will come again. One of the best sites we have ever stayed at.

We can't really think of any improvement and what makes Dolbeare great is its peace and tranquility so great care has to be taken with any future improvements.
We look forward to the new shower block but having said this the current block is one of the cleanest we have used in the country. We also hope the new block retains the piped music and homely features. Continue doing as you're doing and we hope to see you soon.

Would love a cafe - tea, coffee etc. Longer opening hours in the shop and a slightly wider range of products including more accessories for camping and caravans. The staff were absolutely great. Keep up the good work!
Some more picnic benches around the park would be nice and an ATM machine on the site would be handy.
You did a fantastic job and our stay was very enjoyable. We will be back. Jul 07

The shop could have been open for longer hours and would be good if it sold ice. Although, we were given some - thank you! An indoor games room, cafe and bar would be great. Newspapers would be good too!
A very lovely site - thankyou!

Would be good if the shop sold a few more items, but to be expected for size of site.
Toilets and showers for paddock would be good.
A small bar/meeting area would be a great place to meet people. Jul 07

Shower block for the paddock would be good, if not a more direct pathway would be good. A games room would be a great idea.
