Location

One of Dolbeare Park's great attractions is our location. We are hidden in the Cornish countryside, less than one mile of easy access from the main A38.

We are short distance from historic Plymouth and the beaches of the Rame Peninsula.

We are driving distance of the Eden Project and in one hour you can reach as far as Exteter and Truro. The map below shows just how many places can be reached within one hours drive of Dolbeare Park.

South East Cornwall is blessed with beautiful inland scenery as well as an outstanding coast line. The country lanes, tree-lined rivers and streams, steep little valleys and large estates are a delight at any season. From March to the end of June, in particular, the banks of the hedges are covered in primroses, bluebells and campions, foxgloves and many other wild flowers.

And one of Dolbeare's great advantages is how well placed it is to reach a large number of special places and attractions.

Walking

This is great territory for the walker. We have our own leaflet of walks from the site, and have books you can borrow with walks on the Coastal Path, Dartmoor, the Tamar Valley, around Fowey.

Golf

Five courses within 9 miles, including the two at the world-famous St Mellion Country Club only 10 minutes away. We can advise you on fees and booking tee-times.

Fishing

Good freshwater as well as sea fishing is available very near the site. Again we have all the information you will need.

Cycling

The Plym trail, the Camel trail near Bodmin and the Glynn Valley provide excellent off-road cycling for the family. Bike hire, including trailers for very young children, is available if needed.

Eden Project

The Eden Project is a top international visitor destination and is only 40 minutes away making it an ideal day trip. For more details click here

Diving

The Scylla at Whitsands Bay is a delibrate wreck sunk to create a diving experience, it lies just 8m from the surface with a maximum depth of 26m at high tide.

Water Sports

Siblyback Lake on Bodmin Moor is a major watersports venue with hire facilities. There are also local opportunities for jet skiing, canoeing and paddle boards as well as good surfing beaches.

Swimming Pools

Saltash (10 mins) has a modern public pool and Plymouth too has a variety of pools. We have also teamed up with China Fleet Club to offer great value Adult and Family day membership.

Plymouth

In nearby Plymouth there is a skating rink, a ski slope, and 10-pin bowling.
