Play Areas

Our children's play areas include:

A 40 metre low level Children's Adventure Trail that is suitable for most abilities. We have a baby swinger.
A Giant Chess set - that has seen a few nailbiting tournaments!
A Giant Connect 4 - a fun game for all ages!
A ball and games area.

In addition to the play areas, in busy periods, we also organise football, family rounders sometimes parents vs children! We have lawn darts, boules and archery.

Please note that there is 'no cycling' at Dolbeare Park.  All the roads here are gravel and in the past, there have been some nasty accidents with children cycling.  There have also been instances when children have skidded on their bikes spraying stones over caravans/motorhomes and awnings.  There are some lovely quiet lanes, where you can cycle and there are some excellent cycle paths such as the Plym Trail, the Camel Trail and the new cycle routes up in Gunnislake in the Tamar Valley.

Archery

Chris, our instructor, unfortunately broke her ankle last year, and for this year (2016) is unable to give archery sessions. However, they will be back next year, so have a go and try it then.

For this year, you could try archery at the Tamar Trails Centre, see our Information Centre and pick up a leaflet.

We will still be doing evening rounders, cricket and footy, subject to weather conditions, and you can try the Dolbeare Quiz.

On Friday evenings, it's Fish and Chips. Try our lovely beer battered cod and chips. All made freshly to order.

We often have impromtu rounders or cricket matches on summer sunny evenings, when families get back from their adventures of the day, prior to starting the BBQ!
