Dolbeare Park is a Visit Britain 5 Star Touring Caravan and Camping Park set amongst beautiful rolling countryside just four miles into Cornwall and just a short drive from Plymouth. We are located just one mile off the A38.

At Dolbeare Park, we take the issue of accessibility for all our guests very seriously. We believe that every guest should be made to feel welcome and we will always help any guests that may need any assistance during their stay.

 

Access from the A38

Dolbeare Park is located just a mile from the A38 at Landrake. The road up to the park is wide but care must be taken for farm vehicles and pedestrian’s. There are plenty of places to pass large vehicles carefully.

 

Physical limitations of Dolbeare Park

Dolbeare Park is a fairly flat site with a very slight incline towards the top of the park. The main caravan paddock is either level hardstanding or level grass pitches connected by a gravel road. Due to the gravel road, no cycling is allowed on the site.

Our amenities block is located in the middle on the left hand side of the main caravan paddock. We have WCs with wide outward opening doors and a Disabled Family Room to National Accessibility Standards that is suitable for wheelchair users. The shower controls are touch sensitive. The water in the sink is automatic. There are plenty of handrails to ease assistance. Emergency pull cords are for you to get help should you need it.

Our washing up area is has five sinks one of which is low level and suitable for wheelchair users and for children.

Access to the washing-up area is a flat walking area with no steps. Access to the Laundry, adjacent to Reception, has one step that allows access. Both the washing machine and tumble dryer are frontloading.

Reception area has a tarmac car park to front with barrier for access. We will show you how to use your access card to the barrier system.

Access to Reception and Shop is directly from the car park and entrance on a level path. If at any time during your stay, you require access help. Please let us know.
 

Children’s Play Equipment

We have a 40 metre low level adventure play area for all children. Some pieces of equipment will suit most abilities.

 

In the Event of an Emergency

We ask that all guests on arrival MUST advise Reception of any disabilities eg. Deafness, impaired vision etc. In the event of an emergency, we need to ensure that everyone is accounted for and the appropriate method of communication is used to ensure their safety.
