Is there a shop on site?

We have a small shop selling essentials and some locally produced food, local meat from the butcher and local farm eggs. We sell freshly baked bread in the mornings and takeaway food in the evenings. We also sell sweets, ice creams, wine, beer and cider. We have a few items for caravan and tent repairs. top

What are the hours of the shop?

During the summer peak periods, the shop will be open from 8.30am until 11am and then 4pm until 7pm every day. top

Where can I find the nearest supermarket?

Waitrose is at the Saltash Roundabout – 3 miles towards Plymouth. Turn left at the Saltash roundabout, turn right at mini roundabout and Waitrose is in front of you.

Lidl at Saltash - 3 miles towards Plymouth. Turn right at the Saltash roundabout, Lidl is a short distance on the left.

Morrisons is at Liskeard – follow A38 towards Liskeard, take first Liskeard sign. At roundabout turn right, cross road bridge and at next roundabout turn right. You can see Morrisons on your left.

Sainsbury’s is across the Tamar Bridge, a few miles up on right hand side. You can’t miss it! top

In the summer when it’s busy, is there always a long wait for the showers?

In our award winning amenity block we have a total of seven showers. At busy times of the day there may be a short wait. top

What are the arrival and departure times?

Tourng pitches are available from 12 midday and should be vacated by 11am on day of departure. If you wish to arrive earlier or leave a little later, please ask or call Reception as this is subject to availability. Our luxury Lotus Belle tent and Eurotent arrivals are from 3pm and departure is by 10am.

For late arrivals, arriving between 6pm and 8pm there is a £10 late arrival fee. As we do not have a late arrivals area we do not allow arrivals after 8pm to avoid disturbing existihng guests.

The earliest departure from site is 7am when the barrier opens - sorry but there are no exceptions since this disturbs other guests.

Where can I take my dog for a walk?

We have a very small dog walk on the park - with a dog waste bin. We do not have any dog exercise areas on site and there is no dog exercise allowed in our camping paddock. However, there are loads of country lanes to walk down around here and public footpaths across open fields. The nearest beach to here is also dog friendly. Please remember to pick up after your dog otherwise public footpaths will be closed to dog walkers and yes, we do have dogs of our own! top

Where is the nearest dog walking beach?

The nearest beaches are the ones at Seaton and Downderry, just over 15 minutes in the car and sandy. There is a café on Seaton beach which is open all year (except Christmas Day). top

Where is the nearest pub?

The Bullers Arms in Landrake is our nearest pub. It’s a mile to the pub so is a 15-20 minute walk. You will need a torch if you walk back in the dark.

You can also walk to the Notter Bridge Pub and restaurant. Althought it is a little over one mile downhill you will need to climb the fairly steep hill on the way back. Serves great food and is next to the river. A good place to walk to for lunch. top

Where is the nearest bus stop?

The bus stop is literally at the end of the road, near the junction with the A38. National Express coaches stop there as well. It’s about a mile – so about a 15-20 minute walk (close to the Bullers Inn pub). top

Can I get a taxi into Plymouth?

Absolutely, you can find taxi company details in the Information Centre. top

What is there to do for children on the park?

We have an adventure play area for children. We also have a giant Connect 4 and a Giant Chess set. In the summer and peak periods, we have archery evenings (often with a BBQ). We have a paddock where children can play football. In the summer, we offer organised games such as rounders, softball and cricket. top

Is cycling or scooters allowed on the park?

Sadly no. All our road's are gravel which are an accident hazard for children on bikes and scooters. However, there are some very quiet lanes for cycling and there are some excellent cycle paths up in the Tamar Valley, the Plym Trail, the Camel Trail and trails at Lanhydrock (NT) and ardinham Woods - all of which are really worth doing. top
