On 22 July 2008 Dolbeare Park was awarded the prestigous Green Tourist Business Scheme Gold level.

The Green Tourist Business Scheme is the leading sustainable tourism certification scheme in the UK, the largest to operate globally and currently the only green accreditation scheme recognised by Visit Britain.

Dolbeare Park is the first touring park in Cornwall to achieve the GTBS Gold level - holiday park/campsite list. We are also the only park in SW England to achieve both Visit Britain 5 stars and GTBS Gold.

The auditors report included: "Dolbeare Park achieves a Gold award due to the commitment of the owners and excellent sustainable measures implemented throughout the site. Areas to be commended include waste minimisation and composting in particular, thoughtful incorporation of energy and water saving measures in the toilet block and provision of environmentally friendly and local produce in the shop."
